Please include NAME and AGE of child at check out. ★★ KID’s Holiday Art Club by Creative Arts Reach is designed for children ages 6-12 years. Held in a relaxed indoor and outdoor space, Holiday Art Club offers young artists the opportunity to explore creativity, self-expression, and imagination in a fun, supportive environment. The focus is on the process of art-making, encouraging a therapeutic flow that enhances both creativity and well-being. There's a balance of support, examples and guidance with space to for children to explore, experiment and create they way the want to. Max group size is 10 children. Join us in the welcoming Community Space at Chelsea Occasional Care, 8 Swanpool Ave Chelsea. Here is our Holiday Art Program: $50 per session OR $100 for the whole day with free lunch time care THURSDAY 2ND JULY 9.30AM to 12PM KINETIC FLOWERS Inspired by the work of Georgia O'Keefe, young artists will have the opportunity to observe the line, colour, shape and form of REAL flowers. They will then be invited to draw, paint and assemble a large flower. Each flower will have up to five layers that can rotate/move. 12.45PM TO 3PM PAPER SCULPTURE Using the sculpture work of Michael Bolus and David. A. Carter, young artists are invited to manipulate paper in a variety of ways to assemble a paper sculpture on cardboard. Young artists will be encouraged to explore, colour, shape and form to create an eye catching piece to take home. THURSDAY 9th July 9.30AM TO 12PM SLIME, SLIME, SLIME! By popular demand, our slime workshop is back! Children will have the opportunity to create 2 or 3 types of slime. They will be invited to mix, squeeze and knead the ingredients in a fun sensory experience. 12.45PM TO 3PM MIRRORED HANGING MOBILE Inspired by the sculpture and installations of Julio Le Parc which use light, movement and mirrored surfaces, young artists will be invited to create their own hanging mobile. Young artists will have the opportunity to use mirrored materials to create a sculpture that hangs, moves and reflect light. What to bring: Water bottle Nut free snack (and lunch if staying all day) All materials and equipment is provided Drop off is at 9.30am for morning sessions and all day bookings. Drop off is at 12.45pm for afternoon sessions. Pick up is at 12pm for morning sessions and by 3pm for afternoon sessions and all day bookings.
